Our Mission
Elite Word Search is a free word search puzzle generator built for teachers, parents, and students. We believe educational tools should be free, fast, and private. Our goal is to provide the best word search experience on the web — with no accounts, no ads on printouts, and no data collection.
Since launching in 2025, Elite Word Search has grown to offer 4005 premade themes across more than 20 categories, making it one of the largest free word search theme libraries available online.
Who We Are
Elite Word Search was built to be the word search generator we wished existed — one that respects user privacy and works without friction. Frustrated by existing tools that require sign-ups, insert watermarks, or track user data, we built Elite Word Search as a client-side application that runs entirely in the browser.

How It Works
Elite Word Search runs entirely in your browser using vanilla JavaScript. When you create a puzzle, the algorithm places your words on the grid and fills the remaining cells with random letters. PDF generation uses jsPDF to create clean, print-ready documents — all without sending any data to a server. Your words, puzzles, and preferences stay on your device and disappear when you close the page.
For Educators
We designed Elite Word Search with teachers and classrooms in mind. The tool supports differentiated instruction with four grid sizes ranging from easy (10×10, up to 8 words) to expert (20×20, up to 25 words). The Shuffle feature lets teachers create multiple unique versions of the same puzzle to prevent copying. Because the site collects no student data and requires no accounts, it can be used immediately in any classroom without IT approval — making it compatible with FERPA and COPPA requirements.
Privacy
Elite Word Search collects no personal data. There are no cookies, no analytics trackers, no advertising scripts, and no third-party data sharing. The site does not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any similar tracking tools. Your words and puzzles are generated locally in your browser and are never transmitted to any server. When you close the page, everything is gone.
